Sales are Brisk for Marital Book
	The Marital Compatibility Test, by Susan Adams, continues to enjoy brisk sales and high visibility. The book, with more than 300 hundred questions for couples to answer together, encourages couples to discuss issues that can disrupt marital bliss. "All too often, it’s the little things that can cause big problems," says Ms. Adams. Among the chapters: "I’m on Fire and Other Revealing Kitchen Quotes," "Housecleaning: Fetish or Foolish?" and "Inferior Decorating—The Rise and Fall of the Beanbag Chair."

Parkinson's Book Nominated for Award
	Understanding Parkinson’s Disease—-A Self-Help Guide, by David L. Cram, M.D., has been nominated for the Health Book of the Year Award by ForeWord Magazine. The book is among eight finalists, chosen from several hundred entries. The book was released in July 1999.

Authors Signed for New Health Titles
	In the Fall 2000, Addicus Books will release Living with P.C.O.S—-Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, by Angela Boss and Evelina Sterling. The book will be the first trade title to cover P.C.O.S. a form of infertility that affects an estimated 10 to 15 million women of childbearing age. Addicus Books has also signed Paul Ruggieri, M.D., for Colorectal Cancer-—A Patient’s Guide to Treatment. The book is scheduled for a Spring 2001 release. Dr. Ruggieri, is also author of The Surgery Handbook—A Guide to Understanding Your Operation (Addicus Books 1999). The surgery book was reviewed in the March Booklist Magazine, which praised the book for "introducing patients and families to the basics of surgery and the hospital routine."

Other Books on Cancer Scheduled for Release
	Lung Cancer-—A Guide to Diagnosis and Treatment, by Walter J. Scott, M.D., is scheduled for release in late April. The book covers diagnostic techniques as well as newest forms of treatment available for lung cancer patients. A Fall release is planned for Cancers of the Mouth and Throat—A Patient’s Guide to Treatment, by William Lydiatt, M.D., and Perri Johnson, M.D.

True Crime Launch Set for Summer
	A June release is scheduled for the latest Addicus true crime, Unholy Covenant—A True Story of Murder in North Carolina, by Lynn Chandler-Willis. She delivers a page-turner, detailing the 1995 murder of Patricia Kimble by her husband and brother-in-law. The author is a native of the area in which the crime occurred.
