| New consumer health titles are receiving praise from library review publications. In a February review of Living with PCOS—Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, the Library Journal describes the book as having “easy-to-understand descriptions of the disorder, its symptoms, medical diagnosis…valuable to any women’s health collection.” Booklist offers a review of Dr. David Cram’s Coping with Psoriasis, saying “Cram speaks wisely…drawing on stories of his patients.”
Booklist also praises Cancers of the Mouth and Throat in its December issue. According to the review, [the book] “touches on the emotional as well as the physical effects of mouth and throat cancers….the book is concerned with treatment, outcomes, and rehabilitation.” |
